Detoxing Red Velvet Cupcake Smoothie

Love the cupcake? Try this detoxing smoothie for a lighter, healthier treat!




Ingredients (serves one)
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
  • 1/2 cup Nonfat Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 1/2 beet root, washed well 
  • 1 scoop Chocolate Protein Powder
  • 1 tbs Cacao powder
  • Sweetener to taste (optional, though I do add a drop or two of Stevia)
  • 1-2TBSP reduced fat cream cheese (optional)
  • Ice cubes
Instructions
  1. Add all the ingredients to a blender and puree until smooth. Add a few ice cubes to chill the smoothie or refrigerate for 30+ minutes. ENJOY!
